Holden Beach is a seaside town in the southeastern portion of North Carolina. It is named after the Holden family, who bought land in the area in 1756. Through the Civil War, the beach became the final destination of many shipwrecks. Today, Holden Beach is a summer getaway town.

Holden Beach Turtle Watch Program – The Holden Beach Turtle Watch Program was founded in 1989 to monitor, and as an extension protect, the sea turtle population of Holden Beach. The organization is entirely volunteer-led and offers weekly educational programs to its community.

Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce – The Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce supports and promotes Holden Beach and other towns in Brunswick County by building up its business community. The chamber was founded in 1976 and is entirely run by its members.

Tri-Beach Volunteer Fire Department – The Tri-Beach Volunteer Fire Department strives to protect life and property from fire and any other emergencies that happen in Holden Beach and its surrounding areas. The department responds to incidents and educates on best safety practices.
